Have a Great Weekend!


We’ve got some great events lined up for you this weekend that are FREE and family-friendly!  Enjoy!

St. James Court Art Show- October 5-7, Friday & Saturday, 10am-6pm, Sunday, 10am-5pm;in historic Old Louisville just south of Central Park on St. James and Belgravia Courts, and adjacent blocks of Magnolia Avenue and Third and Fourth Streets; FREE admission; see the works of 750 artists from North America

Farm Animal Feedings- Saturdays at 9am, May-October; Blackacre State Nature Preserve and Historic Homestead, 3200 Tucker Station Rd., Louisville, KY 40299; help Scott Hill and his family feed the farm animals and learn about their care; FREE, but donations are appreciated

Below are the local Halloween/Fall events for this weekend:
Balloon Glow
Part of the Southwest Fall Festival; free inflatables, games & activities for the kids
Where: Sun Valley Community Park
When: October 5, 6pm-9pm at Sun Valley Community Park.

Halloween Harvest Party
Where: Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve
When: October 6,  4-8pm
Cost: $5 donation encouraged; children 3 and under FREE; maximum $20/family
Haunted House is $5/person for 30 minute tours

Harvest Homecoming
Fall festival opening ceremonies include a parade featuring over 120 units
Where: The parade begins at New Albany High School, travels south on Vincennes St, west (turn right) on Spring St, north (turn right) on Bank St, ending at Bank and Elm Streets
When: October 6 at noon
Cost: FREE
