Olympic Day event- Saturday, June 23, at Tom Sawyer Park BMX Track; courtesy of Derby City BMX, anyone (ages 2 and up) can try the Olympic sport of BMX bicycle racing for FREE; bring a 20”, 24”, or mountain bike, a helmet, long pants, & long sleeves; registration is 3-5pm
Baptist Hospital Northeast Kids Festival- Saturday, June 23
Baptist Hospital Northeast will hold a Kids Festival on the hospital grounds (inside if rain) from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, June 23. Free spine/posture, hearing and vision screenings will be offered. There will also be a magic show, balloon animal artist, games, child ID, and much more for the whole family. There will also be giveaways. Kindergarten Countdown begins June 1, for all children entering kindergarten this fall. Simply visit any Louisville Free Public Library and pick up a free “I’m going to Kindergarten” t-shirt and “Kindergarten Rocks!” book. The t-shirt will get the child and one parent into Kindergarten Countdown events around the city all summer long - free! The Countdown culminates July 23 at Slugger Field with a Kindergarten Countdown Fair and Louisville Bats game
