Weekend Fun!

It's certainly beginning to feel a lot like Christmas with the cold weather that just blew in.  So, grab a coat and the whole family and head out for some affordable (most are completely free!) family fun at a festival, parade, or holiday bazaar.  Many of this weekend's picks feature free carriage rides, photos with Santa, and children's activities.  Enjoy!

•  Junior League HollyDays- Friday, December 6 - Sunday, December 8, Louisville Slugger Field

Friday, December 6 Blues, Brews, and BBQ- A night in the Bluegrass 5:00pm-9:30pm, $15 

Your ticket includes first access to this year's vendor items as well as BBQ and sides from Mark’s Feed Store,  and 2 drink tickets for beer donated by Falls City  bourbon donated by Heaven Hill.  Entertainment provided by CheKane. 

Saturday, December 7 General Admission Shopping 9:00am - 5:00pm, $5 

Special events to include:  10am - 12:00 pm - Princess Tea Party sponsored by Christmas at the Galt House 

Sunday, December 8 General Admission Shopping 11:00am - 5:00pm, $5  

11:00am - 3:00 pm - Come paint with Paint Spot on site! On Sunday, we are also going to allow FREE admission to any service people which includes teachers, fire, EMS, and Police as long as they bring a valid ID.

My favorite Christmas song growing up was My Favorite Things. It became the inspiration behind a Christmas craft with my grandchildren, producing mini-Christmas trees for their dressers, following the theme, “These are a few of my favorite things…”
