Money Matters
“Save your nickels and dimes.”
“Don’t spend it all in one place.”
“Money doesn’t grow on trees.”
All are words of wisdom that I recall my parents saying when I was a child. However, I’m not sure that I really understood what money was all about when I was a kid. I thought that my dad went to work everyday and literally made money. I also thought that you could buy anything you wanted as long as you had a plastic card and said, “Charge it.”
How do you teach your kids the value of a dollar?
Do you make them earn money to buy special items?
Do you give them an allowance?
