Have a Fun Weekend!


The fall weather looks promising for this weekend.  So, be sure to take the family out for some fun at some of these great local events! Enjoy!

Bass Pro Shops- October 19-31 is the It’s the Great Pumpkin FREE Halloween event at Bass Pro Shops in Clarksville, IN; FREE 4x6 photo weekdays 5-8pm and weekends noon-5pm; Trick-or-Treating (while supplies last) Oct. 19, 26, & 31, 5-8pm; Grab an Apple contest Oct 20 & 27, 1-3pm; store-wide Scavenger Hunt Oct. 21 & 28, 1-3pm;  Costume Parade (with giveaways!) for kids 12 & under on Oct. 19 & 26, 6-7pm

Mayor’s Healthy Hometown Fall Hike- Saturday, October 20, 10am-2pm at Jefferson Memorial Forest in Fairdale, KY; FREE pumkins & pumpkin decorating (while quantities last) and hay rides, climb a 52-ft Alpine Tower, and more!

Tom Sawyer State Park Fall Fest- Saturday, October 20, 3-7pm at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park; parking is $5, but all activities are FREE; includes hayrides, bouncies, face painting, and music by the Wulfe Brothers, and more



ColorFest
Enjoy nature-related activities for kids, live entertainment (including a set from Bernheim Horticulturist Casey Hammett), refreshments from the Bernheim Grill, and tons of outdoor fun for all.

When: October 20, 10am-5pm, October 21 noon-5pm
Cost: $5 per car

Halloween in the Park
Trick or treating and haunted trail
Where: Buffalo Trace Park in Harrison Co., IN
When:October 20, 7pm

Pumpkin Festival
Family fun and Entertainment on the Sunny Acres Farm! There will be pumpkins for sale and a place to carve them and leave the guts! In the Farm market we will have seasonal decor and vegetation for sale!  We will also have a farm petting zoo/barnyard set up!  It is an all ages event that is great for the whole family!

When: October 20, 12-6pm       
Cost: Free admission, hayride is $1 /person, corn maze is $8/person

Make Halloween Masks
Make your own Halloween masks! Museum staff will guide your children to make a scary or friendly, for kids of all ages.
Where: Museum of American Printing House for the Blind- 1839 Frankfort Avenue, Louisville KY 40206
When: October 20, 10:30 a.m.–12:30pm
Cost: FREE, but registration is required. Call 502-899-2213 by October 18th to register.
