Holidays Made Easy- Part 2

With just seven days left until Thanksgiving--and who knows how many holiday festivities to follow--today's entry offers ideas for lovely "Thank You" gifts for your hosts and hostesses … not to say that these gifts wouldn't be much appreciated any day this season! I hope you'll agree.

We are fortunate to have access to a multitude of...
...local, quality items that make fantastic & functional gifts for foodies and partakers of the finer things in life.

Here are just a few 'starter' ideas along with complementary add-ons (ℋ) that help round out your gifts with HolleyWrap flair.

#1:  Any of the excellent Smoked Sea Salts in abundance locally … perfect for serious chefs or novices in the kitchen.  Bourbon Smoked and Sherry Smoked Spanish Olive are favorites!
ℋ Add a Salt Cellar to round out this fun foodie gift.

#2:  Flying Leap Farm, a local herb farm and regular at Farmers Markets, creates amazing herbal vinegars, smoked honeys and a luscious bread dip mix.
ℋ Anyone would love a loaf of Blue Dog Bakery bread accompaniment: perhaps cruets from Louisville Stoneware or a local glass artist?

#3: Cigar lovers must appreciate the stogies at J Shepherd's Cigars … Jason will answer any questions you have and help you select a cigar at your price point.
ℋ Complete this gift with the "Fleur de Lis" Cigar Tray from Louisville Stoneware or a bottle of bourbon or scotch.

#4: Speaking of holiday cheer, "toast" accoutrements are a wonderful gift idea … a nice wine or spirit is always appreciated!
ℋ  How about adding festive cocktail napkins (linen or paper will do) and perhaps lovely crystal glasses appropriate to the spirit?  Google "Holiday Toasts" for ones that guarantee perfect delivery.

#5:  This gift is one of my favorites for the holiday season … appropriate for anyone and a true Louisville original!
Louisville Stoneware Julep Cup candles are great hostess gifts for the Thanksgiving/Holiday season.  The heavy 9 ounce julep cup is filled locally with a luscious winter scented soy wax that burns away
winter blues and graciously readies your recipient for a Mint Julep come 1st Saturday in May!  Available in holiday and Louisville-themed designs.  Personalized pieces must be ordered now.

ℋ  Don't forget to follow up events with hand-written thank you notes … always in order.

TIP:  December holiday gifts to get moving on now … get tix for the best available seats for events at the Center for the Arts, YUM Center, Actor's Theatre, The Palace and Headliners.  There is truly something for every age.
ℋ Complete this gift with a Louisville Originals restaurant gift card and an offer to sit with children or aging parents.
