Let’s get the weekend started off right by giving back to our wonderful community at Mayor Fischer’s annual Give a Day week of service which helps launch the 2013 Kentucky Derby Festival! This community-wide campaign runs April 13-21.
Last year’s phenomenal week of service led to Louisville be named America’s Most Livable City!
After you’ve given back, have a little fun at some of these local events!
- Kick off “Give A Day “ week at Brightside’s Spring Cleanup in the Highlands (there’s free pizza when the clean-up is over!).
- Keep the energy of University of Louisville athletics going with FREE ADMISSION to......Saturday’s Spring Football Game at 1pm!
- If you’re having a baby or planning to, don’t miss out on Clark Memorial’s Baby Fair.
- Check out this Kids 2 Kids Consignment Sale hosted by the Louisville Mothers of Twins Club.
- Make paper kites at this Family Fun Workshop in New Albany.
- Support Kosair Children’s Hospital by attending Hwang’s Martial Arts Showcase & Expo.
- Go back in time to the 18th Century during Bardstown Colonial Days this weekend.
- Find lots of unique items at The Flea!
- If you’re a bird-lover, make sure to attend Raptor Day at Charlestown State Park.
- Ride the Trolley and shop for Derby attire at New Albany’s Shop & Hop.
