What To Do This Weekend: Autumn is Here!

Autumn is finally here! That means pumpkin picking, fall festivals and lots of family fun to be had. Here's what we're looking forward to this weekend:
  • Deere Farms Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch is a great way to kick off the fall festivities! Opening this Saturday, this attraction features farm tours, pony rides, a bungee trampoline and so much more! What else do you need for an afternoon of family fun?
  • Celebrate man's best friend this Saturday at Animal Care Society's Bark in the Park. Participate in the 5k walk/run, hang out with your fluffy friends by the kiddie pool, and support Louisville's first no-kill shelter.
Keep reading for more first-of-fall fun!
  • This weekend the Louisville Orchestra kicks off their season with a performance of Leonard Bernstein's Mass. This rarely performed work features multiple choirs, costumes, staging, and of course our local orchestra. A spectacular event for the whole family!
  • The Middletown Market showcases what historic Middletown is all about. This event features local artists, vendors and musicians. Come and see what our community has to offer this weekend!
  • Adopt a duck for the 12th Annual Ken-Ducky Derby! This Saturday at Waterfront Park, thousands of ducks will race down the might Ohio in support of Harbor House -- a living community for adults with disabilities. A great event for a great cause!
  • It's off to the races for Family Adventure Day at Churchill Downs! Take pony rides, compete in stick horse races, jump on inflatables and enjoy many more family-friendly activities!
  • Celebrate local Louisville at Nulu Fest this weekend! Enjoy live music, local artists and vendors, gourmet food and the vibrant atmosphere of this up-and-coming community.
  • Na na na na...it's Batman Day at Carmichael's Bookstore! In celebration of national Batman Day, Carmichael's is giving away free comic books! Stop by at 11am for a special Batman story, then stick around to make your very own superhero cape -- a blast for all the little superheroes out there!
...

We want to hear from you! What did you do this weekend? Have you checked out any of our events? Post below and let us know about it!
