It's hard to believe, but October is already here. That means pumpkin picking, hayrides, and tons of spooky (but not too spooky) family fun! Here's how you can kick off October:
- Saturday marks the start of the World's Largest Halloween Party at the Louisville Zoo -- all month long, kids 11 and under can come and enjoy the fun of Halloween without the fright.
- This weekend marks the 59th year of the St. James Court Art Show. See what over 750 artists have to offer as you take a stroll through the charming streets of Old Louisville.
- The (Family-Friendly) Haunted Hike at Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve keeps away the creepers while still keeping all the fun!
- Come join the adventures of everyone's favorite kindergartener at Derby Dinner Playhouse's production of "Junie B. Jones the Musical!"
- Take a ride with Snoopy and Charlie Brown on Great Pumpkin Patch Express this weekend at the Kentucky Railway Museum!
- Pewee Valley's Movie Night in the Park is full of festive family fun -- pumpkin painting, apple cider, and showing of the Halloween favorite, "Hocus Pocus." Be sure to bring lawn chairs and blankets to keep warm!
- New Albany's Harvest Homecoming kicks off with Opening Ceremonies this Saturday, followed by the Homecoming Parade.
