The Countdown Is On!

There's lots to be done between now and Santa's arrival! Here are some ideas to make the night before Christmas even more special for the little ones in your house.

• Bake and decorate cookies for Santa. And if you don't have a chimney, consider leaving a magic key outside for Santa to make his way inside the house.

Put out chow for the reindeer.
Everyone likes to put out cookies and milk for Santa, but what about the reindeers who work hard pulling the sleigh? Here's a great recipe for reindeer chow that the kids can spread in your yard to attract the reindeers to your house: 1/4 cup oatmeal • 1/4 cup sugar • red and green sugar crystals or glitter

Say goodbye to the elves.
Your elf could leave a small, parting gift or a goodbye letter for your child. And your children can say goodbye on Christmas Eve by packing a bag of their elf's favorite snacks for his or her long journey home. Look here for more elf goodbye ideas.

Happy Holidays!
