Enjoy the last weekend of family fun before JCPS starts back to school! Splash around at a different kind of 5k race, take your pet for a fun afternoon, or check out some wild street rod cars. Then take your pick of some of the back-to-school parties going on.

Back-to-School events
- Make a big splash at Kosair Children's Hospital's Splash 'n' Dash.
- Join Live, Love, Latch! for its fourth annual Family Festival in New Albany, Indiana. (Swag bags will be given to the first 50 Moms!)
- Car enthusiasts in your family will want to see the more than 10,000 street rods, customs, muscle cars and street machines at the 47th Annual Street Rod Nationals.
- Learn how to draw heroes and villains, and create your own comic book at the Speed Museum's Youth Workshop: Explore Art!
- Grab your furry friend and visit “WoofStock” Pet Day & Butterfly Day.
- Foodie families can sample tasty treats from more than 20 restaurants at the Taste of Frankfort Avenue.

- Get a little bit country at the all-day Lights Out Country Music Festival in Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
- Saddle up to the cool cars, trucks, and other vehicles kids see on the roads each day at the 13th annual Clarksville Touch-A-Truck children's event.
