What To Do This Weekend

This weekend presents lots of opportunities for outdoor family fun, and the chance to make a sweet treat with your kids.

  • Spend Saturday morning relaxing with a free yoga class at Jeffersonville's RiverStage. It's open to all levels, and children are welcome.

  • Find out how you can help the environment by starting in your own yard at the Louisville Zoo's Toyota Backyard Action Hero Day. Be sure to pick up a free copy of the zoo’s Backyard Action Hero Guidebook.

  • Enjoy a fun day at Beckley Creek Park featuring The Louisville Bar Association’s Ramble 5k fun run/fitness walk, a family and pet-friendly event for superheroes of all sizes and varieties.

  • The Kentucky Derby Museum and Churchill Downs are getting in on the craze by offering a Pokémon Go Tour, with exclusive access to the PokéStops inside the gates that are currently not available to the general public. Tour guides will drop lures at PokéStops along the way, giving you the chance to capture the rarest of Pokémon! (Tour size is limited, so check for availability.)

  • If your child (or maybe you) can't get enough of the cute yet feisty little Pokémon, have fun together learning how to create your own adorable Pikachu cake at Mommy and Me Decorating class. (Class size is limited, so check for availability.)

Have a great weekend!
