What To Do This Weekend

It's officially fall! Spend your first autumn weekend of the year picking your own pumpkins and apples, learning the basics of canoeing, immersing yourself in Indian culture, and more.

Check out these picks for weekend fun:

  • Are you ready to start paddling but not sure of where to start? Rent a canoe and discover the basics of canoeing fun at Jefferson Memorial Forest's event.

  • Sky Zone Louisville is turning off the music and dialing down the distractions for special jumpers at Special Needs Night!

  • Experience all things Indian — including food, merchandise, art, culture, and traditions — at the family friendly India Day-VindaLou 2016 festival.

  • Flutter over to the Douglass Loop Farmers' Market for all kinds of butterfly fun provided by Idlewild Butterfly Farm.

  • Join Mama To Mama for a Fall Family Picnic, enjoying the playground, outdoor games and Fall craft activities at Bingham Park.

  • Visit the 8th annual NuLu Fest block party, featuring local food, vendors, and live music.

  • Learn about the geology, history, and river dynamics and engineering of the lock and dam on an Outer Fossil Bed Hike at the Falls of the Ohio in Jeffersonville, Indiana. (This hike, geared to those ages 12 and older, depends on river level and weather conditions. Please call Friday to check if hike is still scheduled.) A bring-your-own canoe hike will also be offered.

Have a great autumn weekend!
