What To Do This Weekend

Fall is kicking into high gear, and we are offering some great options for weekend activities to get you ready for Halloween, experience some learning, get some exercise, enjoy the farm life, and more.

Visit these events and make your family's weekend a fun time together:

• Check out the closing weekend of the Harvest Homecoming celebration in New Albany, Indiana, with booth days, music and activities by the river, and much more.

• Make your way to dowtown Louisville for 2016 IRONMAN Louisville, which will also include an IRONKIDS Fun Run and a 5K Fun Run.

• Enjoy all that autumn has to offer at Foxhollow Farm’s annual Fall Festival, which features a pick-your-own pumpkin patch, corn maze, petting zoo, hay castle and hayrides, pony rides, old-fashioned games and activities, local food, and live music.

• Take your little aviation enthusiasts to the Bowman Field Aviation Heritage Festival, a two-day event with historic and vintage airplanes, exhibits, food, and fun.

• Take the short trip to Holiday World for its Happy Halloween Weekends. This family-friendly event runs throughout October and includes Halloween shows, corn mazes, and hayrides in addition to the regular amusement rides.

• Be ready for a day of family-friendly Halloween fun, including an new street festival featuring craft booths and live entertainment. The highlight of the event is the 14th Annual Louisville Halloween Parade.

• Visit the Southwest Community Festival, the largest one-day event in Southwest Jefferson County, which will include plenty of fun for kids of all ages with Kids' City and Teen Town areas, plus live entertainment, River City Street Rods Car Show, arts and craft booths, and food vendors.
