What To Do This Weekend

This weekend brings opportunities to see beloved characters from the screen come to life, chances to decorate and taste holiday treats, and more.

Check out the options below for a fun family weekend:

  • Celebrate the season with cheerful festivities and journey with Clara through her dreamy adventure at Nutcracker on Ice, presented by the Louisville Skating Association.

  • Take the family to a Gingerbread House Workshop at New Albany Floyd County Public Library. They’ll provide the supplies, you bring the creativity and enjoy free fun for the whole family! (No registration is required.) You can also stop in and decorate gingerbread houses at The Arctic Scoop.

  • Hop over to the Louisville Palace for a special holiday screening of the 1946 classic, It's a Wonderful Life.

  • Join the Santa Baby Flashmob this weekend and dance to help provide much needed baby supplies for children in the Foster Care and Adoption Program at St. Joseph's Children's Home. Watch and learn the dance routine on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_LqhL5Pu6k). Then bring baby supplies with you to St. Joe's and join in on the fun.

  • Regal New Albany Stadium 16 will present a special noon showing of Home Alone Saturday for $5 per ticket. You can also buy a medium popcorn/drink combo for $5 with your Regal Crown club card.

Have a great weekend!
