New Year’s Eve Events & Fun Ideas


There are a few family-friendly New Year’s Eve events around town this year.  From a toddler dance party at the Louisville Free Public Library to a slumber party at All About Kids, there’s something for everybody! Plus, here's a quick roundup of some fun New Year’s Eve projects to try out with your family…

Noon Year’s Celebration
Where: Kentucky Science Center
When: December 31st
Time: 10 am-4 pm
Participate in a ball drop with balloons and discover ways that the New Year is celebrated across the globe. Activities include balloon drop, sparkly fireworks demonstration, Messy Afternoon, "Gearing up for 2013" and much more.

Toddler New Year’s Eve Dance Party

New Year’s Eve Party

Celebrate the end of 2012 and get ready for 2013 with a party at the library. Craft included.
 
New Year’s Eve Slumber Party
Where: All About Kids (Louisville location)
When: December 31st
Time: Ages 4-6- 7pm-11pm, Ages 5 & up- 7pm-9am
Cost: Ages 4-6- $25 per child, Ages 5 & up- $35 per child
Must register ahead of time. Activities include: swimming, open gym, pizza, cookies, movie, etc. Those attending the sleepover should bring the following items: swim suit, towel, leotard or other athletic clothing, sleeping bag, pillow, overnight necessities, etc.
 
Playdate in Science in Play
Where: Kentucky Science Center
When: January 1, 2013
Time: 8:30am –9:30am
This playdate features restricted access in Science in Play for visitors ages 0-4 and their adult caregivers. With no big kids in sight, little ones will be free to roam, investigate, build, experience, and play in a protected environment. Includes activities, story time, and refreshments for caregivers.
Free to Ages 0-4 and their adult caregivers. No registration required.
