It’s a Recycling Weekend!

Did Santa bring your family a new television, computer, or other electronic items?  Tired of the old ones hanging out in your garage since Christmas? Or do you just have a ton of boxes to pitch out from all of the holiday giving?

There’s a great Recycling Event going on this Saturday, January 6, from 10am-4pm at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in the Highlands.  Click here for details.

Plus, instead of hauling your Christmas tree to the curb, tie it back onto the top of your car and take it one of the following recycling centers to get it turned into mulch for FREE...
...from 9am-4pm through January 5th.
  • Recycling Center – East District, 595 N. Hubbards Lane
  • Recycling Center – Southwest Government Center, 7219 Dixie Highway
**Be sure to bring containers to take home your fresh evergreen mulch in!

Now for the usual, weekend event round-up…
First Friday Trolley Hop- Friday, January 4, 5-11pm; park the car and ride the trolley to shops in downtown Louisville; Free
Pajama Storytime- Saturday, January 5, 10:15am at the Westport Rd. branch of the Louisville Free Public Library; free event for all ages; make a craft to take home
