Top Local Trick-or-Treating Events


Today is the first day of October, so let the Halloween fun begin.  Here is a great list of trick-or-treating opportunities all around Kentuckiana for your children.  If you know of any more that you'd like us to add to the list, please send a note to miranda@todayspublications.com. Enjoy!

Trunk or Treat @ Clark County Branch of the YMCA Center, 4812 Hamburg Pike, Jeffersonville
October 23rd, 6:30- 7:30 p.m.
Trunk or Treat will provide entertaining alternative to door-to-door trick-or-treating. Adults are invited to decorate their cars and hand out candy from open trunks to the children. For more information, call 812-283-9622, Ext. 224.

Halloween Festival In Brown Park
4th Saturday in October
The City of St. Matthews annual Halloween Festival in Brown Park is free to all and begins at 11 a.m. in Brown Park, located at the corner of Kresge Way and Browns Lane. Promptly at 11:30 a.m. the trick-or-treating begins at the pavilion.

Saturday, October 26 (11 am- 5 pm)
Dress up and bring the kids! Trick or treating in...
...Downtown La Grange during shop hours. Costume contest for three different age levels. Free to all.

Saturday October 26th
Visit the Meeting Street Park and trick or treat with the businesses at Norton Commons! Lots of fun activities for kids of all ages will take place from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. 

October 26th (6 - 9 pm)
Food, music, trick or treating, costume contests – ALL FREE.  

October 26 (11 am - 2 pm)
A great alternative to the traditional "trick or treating" in a safe, supervised environment. The City provides food, beverage and entertainment. Walk with your kids as they pick up goodies along a mapped route of participating local businesses on historic Gaslight Square.

October 27 (11 am – 3 pm)
Halloween affair offered in collaboration with the Oldham County Public Library. Kids can enjoy trick-or-treating along the Trail-o-Treats plus dozens of local merchants in costumes and decorated booths around the gardens. Hay rides for all and a performance by the incomparable Mr. Magic (2-3pm) make for a great day. Bring a pumpkin decorated to look like your favorite character from a book and enter it in the Book-O-Lantern contest!

October 26 (11:30 am-2 pm)
Special activities for children of all ages, this cruise is a boatload of Halloween fun! Costumes are encouraged for everyone! (Sightseeing only). Adults - $18, Children - $9 

Monday, October 28th Spring Street 6-8pm 
Bring your little ghouls to downtown Jeffersonville for this annual Trick-or-Treat event.


The Mommy Nest Annual Trunk or Treat @ Woodhaven Country Club
October 27 (3 – 5 pm)
Come enjoy Trick or Treating from trunk to trunk, Fun entertainment areas, Costume contests, Cash prizes, Bubbles by Bonkers and so much more!  A donation of $1 per child is suggested, proceeds directly benefit The Mommy Nest Christmas Care Package Program.  To participate to win $250 email whitney@themommynest.com
